We answer to a higher authority
the following teudat kashrut, seen in Tel Aviv, reminded me of Hebrew National's catchphrase -We answer to a higher authority...
I would note that most frum people seem to not trust anyone who says he is supervised by God rather than man - especially if that person is not religious, as in such cases the supervision must be faulty....

Halacha stipulates that supervision is required under certain conditions. Assuming an omnipotent God, this seems to imply that His supervision is not enough. (Even if it were, how would we know if He saw anything problematic going on?) And without God's omnipotence, how is this guy under his supervision?

If you notice, they are stamped by a female rabbi on the bottom. The whole point of this is that they can't say they're kosher if it's not under the official rabbanut- even if it's supervised by an Orthodox rabbi- so they have to think of creative workarounds.
ReplyDeleteIf the amendment to the Kashrut Law goes through, they can say God will pay the fine.
