Quote of the Day

Unfortunately,  the Haredim are the greatest Reformers, in many many ways. Including IDF draft, as there is no gemara, no person who says that learning Torah protects on issues of life and death. There is place for a difference of opinions in Judaism, there is no one way, and whoever says that something is the one way and the only way, that is not Judaism, that is Catholicism and Popeism...

  1. בבא בתרא ז:-ח.
and R' Moshe זצ"ל paskened it applies to anyone learning Torah full time.

Others may argue but to say no gemara and no person says it is not accurate.

  2. Quoting Riskin. Talk about 'reforming' - his deep 'friendship' with messianic xtians speaks for itself.

    1. You beat me to it. But, let me add that "Rabbi Jesus" Riskin is the ultimate in pilpul until it's mutar. Xians may not live here, 'ovdei avodah zara or not, according to the Ramba"m, the Tur, the Beth Yosef, and the [uncensored] Ba"Ch.

      But, HE knows better.

He's got some nerve criticizing anyone seen as a reformer.

  3. 1) I don't think you means "Reformers" (that is often used to refer to Protestant Reformers), but "Reform Jews".
    2) It's ironic that he says that there is no one correct way in Judaism, in the context of saying that one approach is incorrect.
