Alex Clare is a well-known British singer-songwriter. His debut album, The Lateness of the Hour, released in 2011, was re-released in the US in 2012 after the single "Too Close" – featured in a series of Microsoft advertisements – became an overnight global sensation. "Too Close" eventually peaked at number 4 on the UK Singles Chart and number 7 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and was nominated as “Best British Single” at the 2013 BRIT Awards. His upcoming sophomore album "Three Hearts", is slated for release in July 2014.
